About

Diane Burke is a North Fork-based collage artist and collector. Her work features found and forgotten objects repurposed as notecards and framed art that captures a natural, restrained aesthetic and her love for treasures — both from the earth, and from the past.

Diane personally sources everything from vintage stamps and buttons to pressed botanicals and beach glass from her network of fellow antiquers, her selected Etsy artisans and the North Fork of Long Island’s abundant shorelines. She works only by hand using original bookplates, mould made paper from Italy, and a lifelong passion for sustainability.

A graduate of Parson’s School of Design, Diane’s career as a Graphic Designer for Eileen Fisher Inc. lasted 35 years. During her tenure she collaborated with great talents such as Robert Valentine, Rip Georges, Martin Bone, Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh. Now retired from corporate life, Diane resides in Orient with her partner James, an avid sailor.
